Andreas Engesvik is one of Norway’s leading designers, instrumental in bringing contemporary Scandinavian design to the international stage. After studying art history in Bergen and earning an MA in design from the National College of Art and Design, he co-founded the studio Norway Says in 2000, who designed multiple products for LK Hjelle. Many of their products have since become modern classics, marking a shift from Scandinavia’s historical design icons to a new generation of contemporary design.
Since 2010, Engesvik has run Andreas Engesvik Oslo, collaborating long-term with brands such as Iittala, Muuto, FontanaArte, Asplund and now LK Hjelle. His studio works across furniture, tableware and industrial design. Alongside his design work, Engesvik actively promotes Norwegian design and mentors young talents internationally. In 2012, he was appointed Guest Professor at Konstfack in Stockholm.
