Studio Sløyd was established in 2019 and is run by designers Herman Ødegaard & Mikkel Jøraandstad. They are a design studio based in Oslo, Norway. They work across the design landscape, from self initiated exhibitions to collaborations with brands to create interesting and thoughtful objects. Their approach to design is inspired by the educational “sløyd” (woodwork) taught in Scandinavian primary schools, focusing on exploration and respecting the material in use to its fullest potential. The Sia table is their first collaboration with LK Hjelle.
