Designers Saturday 2021 - Hjelle

Designers Saturday 2021

The biggest design-happening in Norway, Designers Saturday, took place 10th-12th of September. We launched several exiting new products at our stand at the new National museum. We loved meeting you all again and thank you for the amazing feedback on our new products!

AMI – by Takagi/Homstvedt

Contrast between hard and soft, fabric and steel. By decoupling the two, a bold and purposeful furniture object was born. AMI means “much loved” in Indian, and as this is a series where each piece of both the chair and sofa – the frame, slipcover and upholstery – can individually be refurbished and repaired, means that you will have and love AMI forever. Explore the AMI series here.

Ada – by Jonas R. Stokke

An elegant and comfortable dining chair designed to be seated in for hours. Even though Ada is a petite and delicate chair, it welcomes you with an outstanding comfort with extra focus on lumbar support. This creates the perfect chair for long dinners, the home office or conference rooms. With three different leg choices you can customize it to your needs. Explore Ada here.

Hjelle X Kibun/Hvass&Hannibal

A playful and peculiar collection of six decorative pillows. At Hvass & Hannibal they do fun, mischievous, anarchist projects. A common thread through the production is generosity, empathy and sometimes the almost childish. The exotic landscapes they experienced as children are revealed in their work as adults. The pillow-collection for Hjelle is a result created from this universe. The fabric is woven in fine wool quality at Innvik Kvadrat and Kristina Aas. Explore the collection here.

Lobby – by Dag Hjelle

Lobby is a sofa system that offers many creative solutions and can be adapted to most situations. It can be adapted to both smaller, intimate meeting-situations and large gatherings. The sofa has removable covers on the seat, back and armrests for easy reupholstery. This gives the furniture a very long life span. Both backs and armrests can be removed and moved around if needed.
